In this companion exhibit to Depth Data: Mapping Reality visitors see how technology can simultaneously incorporate real and virtual objects in one experience. As one visitor stands in front of the depth camera, another holds an iPad using augmented reality to project what the depth camera “sees” into the real world. The visitor holding the iPad walks around examining the 3-D point cloud of the other visitor’s body from all sides.
