OUT QUIET YOURSELF

User research: summative
Visitors walk along a gravel path, trying to be as quiet as possible. As they listen to the crunch of gravel, they try different ways of walking—on tiptoe, perhaps, or at a different speed—paying attention to small changes in the noise level. A sound meter displays a “noise score” enabling visitors to check their perceptions, and attend to sounds normally ignored.
