Location-Aware Informal Learning Experiences

$300K NSF award
User research: formative

I established an institutional relationship with Qualcomm for the Exploratorium became a testbed for Indoor Positioning technology, enabling an NSF award. We researched location-aware user experience designs, and how science centers can track visitors at indoor venues to improve informal STEM learning outcomes. The video contains excerpts from a talk I gave at UC Berkeley's Qualcomm funded SWARM lab.  I was as a co-principal investigator with two amazing colleagues: Joyce Ma and Josh Gutwill. Joyce masterfully spearheaded timing and tracking (among many other things).
